Jane Holiday: “All Yours”

March 08, 2020. Writer: Emma Kopelowicz

LA-based singer-songwriter Jane Holiday will have your head spinning for days on the nostalgia Ferris Wheel with his latest release, “All Yours.”

Blending 60’s inflected piano riffs with 70’s guitar licks, Holiday creates a symphony of retro sound. He even throws in some trumpet and gospel harmonies here and there, creating even more lush sonic layers. The lyrics are equally as exuberant and youthful with a hook Holiday poses as a piece of advice straight from the mouth of  “the coolest kid in town” who tells him “Young love hurts so much more/Cause for the first time you find what you’re looking for.” It’s as catchy as it is true!

On “All Yours” Holiday shows off just how suave he can be, picking up and slowing down the tempo at the drop of hat and making each transition smoother than the next. This irresistible song captures the spirit of any bright-eyed young lover who would give their heart away at the first beat of an eyelash. It’s bubbly, sweet, and a tad bit naïve, but it’s oh-so-addicting! “All Yours” reminds you of the breathless wonder that comes with first crushes. Who couldn’t love a song that brings out the hopeless romantic in all of us?
