LA-based model Kristina Menissov proves she got what it takes to be a pop star with her smashing debut single, “Taking Over LA.”

Kristina has starred in major campaigns for notable fashion designers from Roberto Cavalli to Jovani Dresses, and she’s even partied alongside Tyga in the music video for his song, “Ibiza.” The half Kazakhstani, half Ethiopian model and social media influencer has strutted her stuff on numerous runways over the years, but now she’s ready to show the world that she’s got some musical chops, too.

On “Taking Over LA,” Kristina takes us along on a glamorous ride through the dazzling city to give us the inside scoop on the high life. The artist shows us what it’s like to be a bright, young starlet in the limelight. Between booking gigs and party hopping at Coachella, Kristina’s alter ego has quite the busy schedule. 

Kristina keeps the attention of the song on her breathy, seductive vocals while glittering synths and booming bass collide in the background. Her playful lyrics contain just tinge of sarcasm as Kristina describes what it takes to meet the industry’s standards. “Looking in good in a bikini/My Diet Coke and martini/I make it look easy,” the singer pokes fun at the superficiality of the modeling industry.
