Emma Danelon: “The One That Got Away”

Electronic Pop artist Emma Danelon is definitely standing out amongst the rest. Not only are her music videos artistically well done but her uniqueness shines through her music just as well and especially in her single “The One That Got Away.

Her voice is like a breath of fresh air in a genre where many pop voices are often too similar and lack individuality. The song itself compliments the lightness of Danelon’s voice. The style is somewhat futuristic. It’s as if it’s a more stripped version of the electronic/pop music we hear today but so much easier to take in and enjoy at any moment. The song is a great introduction to Danelon’s as an artist, a person who likes to take risks and can execute them well. The xylophone-like beat is the main component of the song’s catchiness along with the booming voice layered underneath during the chorus.

I’m excited to explore the world of Emma Danelon as she is an artist who knows how to be true to herself. A valuable asset that can be so rare to see in this crazy industry.
